DBIA Secures Tourism Development Grant to Advance the Cornwall Artisan Village

The Cornwall Downtown Business Improvement Area (DBIA) is proud to announce it has been awarded $21,500 from the Cornwall Tourism Development Fund (TDF). This significant investment will directly accelerate the development and construction of the highly anticipated Cornwall Artisan Village at First & Pitt Street, establishing a vibrant, multi-seasonal tourist attraction and retail incubator in the heart of the city’s historic core.

The Cornwall Artisan Village features an aesthetically cohesive cluster of village-style wooden cabins designed to attract experience-driven regional travelers and cross-border shoppers. The TDF grant will help transform this prominent gateway into a bustling cultural hub, driving extended visitor "dwell time" and providing local brick-and-mortar restaurants and boutiques with substantial economic spillover.

The physical realization of this vision is a collaborative community effort. Ahead of the scheduled September cabin construction phase, site preparation and urban beautification are already moving forward through ongoing on-site work by Vision Landscaping.
