Go Over The Edge for United Way Centraide SDG

Save the date

The United Way is taking building community to new heights!

Help launch their 2023 Campaign with its most thrilling fundraiser to date. Rappel down the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation building, one of the tallest buildings in Cornwall, to raise money to tackle poverty in our community.

In partnership with Over The Edge, St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation and YourTV Cornwall, the United Way is bringing urban rappelling to Cornwall for the first time to support our local communities.

Enjoy an amazing view of downtown Cornwall from the rooftop before rappelling 9 stories down the side of the building in this experience of a lifetime. Does this sound crazy? We hope so! But it's also safe. Over The Edge has hosted more than 1300 events across North America. Safety is their #1 priority. They are certified rope access specialists who can guide you Over The Edge, so there is no experience necessary.

How to participate:

1. Register to become a Participant

2. Easily set up your personal fundraising page

3. Reach the $1000 fundraising minimum! The first 75 people to reach this milestone will secure their spot to rappel.

4. Experience the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rappel

Requirements in order to participate:

1. There is a weight minimum and maximum between 100 lbs and 300 lbs for safety purposes in order to rappel.

4. No experience necessary! The Over the Edge team will provide training to help you rappel.

5. There is a $75 fee to sign up. This counts towards the $1000 fundraising minimum to participate.
